The ALL Lit Fest Bangalore 2017 took place at Taj Vivanta on 28th November 2017, where women writers, readers, editors, and reviewers, came together.
Women readers and writers in Bangalore gathered at Taj Vivanta, MG Rd on 28th Nov 2017 for the ALL Ladies League – ALL Bangalore Readers and Writers Lit Fest 2017, for an eventful day filled with information, fun and warm literary interactions. This event was organised by RajaRajeshwari Nagasigamani, Chairperson, ALL Bangalore Readers and Writers Chapter, and Anu Krishna, Chairperson, ALL Karnataka Coaching Chapter, bringing together readers, writers and life coaches.
The ALL Bangalore Readers & Writers group intends to ‘inspire, encourage, grow and empower readers and writers and support writing endeavors’.
The event witnessed a converging of like-minded women in the literary space, not only writers, but also readers who may not be writers, book reviewers, editors, established and aspiring writers, self-published authors, book critics, bloggers, and others in the literary domain, on a common platform.
Suchitra Kaul Misra, Chairperson, ALL Karnataka Chapter set an uplifting tone for the event by initiating it with a warm welcome note and ending it with a vote of thanks. The program flow was seamless and efficient, compered by Luvena Rangel, Chairperson, ALL India Chapter for Social Media Support. Anita Sethi Ramakrishna, Chairperson, ALL Bangalore Gourmet Chapter helped identify and coordinate with the venue.
An initial round of introductions with a touch of ‘flair and drama’ over a delicious spread of hors d’oeuvre and tea, was followed by an inspiring and impactful session on overcoming writer’s block by Anu Krishna, writer and a Life Coach. A bookworm quiz conducted by Chaya Nair and Dr. Sonal Mittra, sent the excitement and intellectual intensity soaring in the room.

Anu Krishna said, “We have many chapters including Gourmet Experiences, Coaching, Spirituality, Start-ups Support, Social Media Support along with the main Bangalore Chapter. People from their field of expertise help newcomers to grow in these focus groups. The membership is free. There is a lot of intermingling and inter-exchange of knowledge, experience and expertise between the various chapters of ALL, allowing a member who is a writer as well as a foodie to pursue their passions in the gourmet and readers & writers focus groups. The same also applies to a writer who may also want to launch something in the coaching field and is also a member of the coaching group.”
“I have written business related books but will soon write a book about my life journey,” said Archana Krishnamurthy, a writer, who attended the event.
“I found it informative, fun and inspiring.” said another participant.
It was a memorable event as women sharing a common passion for the written word came together to participate with ALL their heart, enthusiasm and gusto.
