Women’s Web is saying Goodbye! Please make sure you read this important notification.
This poem, portraying a grieving mother, will move you.
Standing by the window
In the dead of night
Watching life go by
I suddenly realize
Death has touched me
When he took you away.
He touched my soul
He touched my heart
He scarred me for life
He tore me apart
And you?
Was he merciful to you?
Can you watch me from far,
When I look for you in the stars?
I find it hard to live
I wish I could die
And as if on cue
Our little angel cries.
He pulls me back
He pulls me to him
Where death tore me apart
My angel tells me to make a new start!
