Women’s Web is saying Goodbye! Please make sure you read this important notification.
A poem which vehemently talks about the prevalent nepotism. Read on!
A favour here, a favour there,
A scene of shit, I just can’t bear.
Sat for the exam, scored so good,
But why didn’t I catch that hook?
The interviewer asked five plus five,
I answered ten, but still got jived.
Tell me what’s wrong, the system or me?
Answer fast, I have a deadline to hurry.
Oh look! That jovial girl got the job,
The one who won’t add a drop.
The river has become dirty,
Full of favours and friendly mercies.
I must find a jack for myself too,
To fuck the system, of who’s who.
Here, I sit with all my degrees,
Could someone tell me the worth, please?
