Boss girl anthems. I’ve curated a list of my personal favourite tracks that helps me get in the groove. Go listen to them right now!
I’m a firm believer of music therapy and it’s worked for me ever since I can remember. For days when you’re not feeling it and you just need to get into your element and go from a sad bi**h to a bad bi**h, I’ve got something for you.
I’ve curated a list of my personal favourite tracks that helps me get in the groove. Genres are mixed but mostly hip/hop and RnB’s as that’s my jam, but I’m pretty sure I have something in there for all you lovely ladies out there.
You can listen to them when you’re putting on your make up, or just going to college/work, who cares as long as you feel like the queen that you are!
There’s something so empowering about this song and Doja really outdid herself, I thought my obsession with woman would end but according to my Apple Music history this is one of my most played songs.
The way Doja is embracing her sexuality is so super tbh it makes you feel a certain kinda way. Cos “Princess or queen, tomboy or king, You’ve heard a lot, you’ve never seen, Mother Earth, Mother Mary rise to the top, Divine feminine, I’m feminine!” Ahhh so good.
I’ve recently been so obsessed with this track that I discovered on reels and it is such a bad bi**h anthem when I tell you. The “She’s the baddest of them all” with the crazy beat drop compels you to get into the groove. I’ve been dancing on my way to college vibing to this with my pods on. Just amazing!
This entire album my Mac, The divine feminine is that one album I can never stop talking about. It’s splendid, it’s a piece of art and I can easily say one of my favourites. There’s a reason I got this album tattooed :p. The vibe is just immaculate.
Honestly that way Mac used to write about women is what dreams are made of. This is my go to track when I’m chilling at my crib or putting on make-up, dressing up. In case you haven’t checked this album out, PLEASE DO.
Just two words to describe this song EPIC and BADASS. The way Megan starts with “I’d rather keep it real with you” always has me. SO GOOOD. Megan is a queen. She keeps saying why she‘s called a bi**h for keeping it real and hard relate. Hehe
I absolutely adore this track, it’s so soothing, calm, sensual, with crazy vocals and has such a sublime chill vibe to it. And lord it’s lyrically beautiful.
Every time she says the word “GIRL” Goshhh! Because “Girl better know your worth.” The video is stunning too. Such an underrated BOP for you, go check it out!
This is so badass, the beat switch is going to drive you crazy, this song is such an ego boost tbh. “You’re in love now, with being you”. I’ve burnt this song down by now and STILL LOVE IT.
Me and my love for Kendrick Lamar is no secret so had to do a Kendrick Lamar track because if you’re into hip/hop you must be knowing who the real GOAT is J.Cole and Kendrick Lamar. (No arguments.)
Kendrick starts this song by saying, “You look better than Beyoncé, Alicia Keys, Hailey Berry, Miss Jolie” and boy the way it just picks up from that.
I’ve always considered myself a misfit and “Where she’s from, No ID, That girl is an Alien” could be the background score to my life. This is definitely my Top 10 Kendrick Lamar songs.
Just one word for this track– BAWSE. I picked this track up from Savage X Fenty by Rihanna. It’s a fashion show by Rihanna and I knew this is going to be my song when I saw Gigi Hadid burn the ramp in a blue outfit.
Goddamn I go back to look at Gigi walk on “conceited” again and again. AND “I’m conceited, I got a reason” so bawse! Once you listen to this it’s going to be your new fav.
If we’re talking about bad bi**h anthems, we can’t just leave the rap queen out- The Nicki Minaj. This track is so fu*** dope tbh. The beat switches, the smooth flow, the transitions. Superrrrr!
Don’t just listen to this track, WATCH THE MUSIC VIDEO, it’s just so gorgeous. Beyoncé looks like a dream in her glossy red lip, she’s servinnnn! One of my favourite Beyoncé songs after “Crazy in love”. Go listen to it rn.
Also, comment down your favourite tracks and please add more to my list.
