Ponniyan Selvan 1

Last, but not the least, we come down to this historical movie. The storyline of this movie is complicated as it’s a big story. The movie was directed by Mani Ratnam. The movie is filled with action, drama, and betrayal. Trisha plays the role of Kundavai. She is the daughter of the current Chola king and the elder sister of Arulmozhi Varman. She is portrayed as an intelligent and strong-willed princess. Throughout the movie, Trisha brings a sense of gravitas and strength to the character and does an outstanding job.

This movie can be watched on Amazon Prime Video.

There are a lot of things we can take away from Trisha’s acting career and life. The Indian film industry, especially for women is quite ageist. At 40, the fact that she continues to occupy center stage only echoes her passion and dedication to her acting career.

Trisha lost her father in her 20s and she continued with grit and determination with a singular focus on her career. She’s also committed to the cause of children and animal welfare. She stands for promoting the Indie dog breed and is against indiscriminate breeding and the use of animals for testing in laboratories. She has been very vocal about the same. She is also the ambassador for UNICEF and often uses her voice and reputation to talk in public spaces about the problems faced by children – like child labor, education rights, and women. People like me who are in their teens can look up to her and take cues from her life, both professional and personal and lead a productive life.
