Instagram is not just about pretty food pictures! Here are four amazing Indian women yoginis whose Instagram profile will leave you with a serious case of yoga-love.
Yoga is one of the truly holistic activities which India has gifted to the world. And to make us feel prouder, Yoga was listed as an Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 2016 (yes, one of those few cases where the UNESCO mention was true, not a fake Whatsapp forward!)
International Yoga Day is celebrated annually on June 21st, and it’s become the occasion for a renewed interest in Yoga as both fitness and spiritual practice.
Yoga accounts have become addictive because of the idyllic settings, astonishing positions and let me not forget to mention…often, some beautiful outfits too! Here I are presenting four such exemplary yoginis who are taking Instagram by storm.
With her 150k followers, Deepika Mehta is one of the biggest stars on Instagram. A trained Ashtanga Yoga practitioner, Deepika keeps herself motivated by setting goals. She is also a renowned trainer for celebrities and corporate giants. This TedX speaker, motivator, Yoga teacher, and fitness expert fills her Instagram account with spectacular asanas. Deepika has her own TV show called Yoga City. She has also been the trainer on the show The Biggest Loser in India. In 2015, she was the face of a fitness campaign by Elle India.
Natasha Noel’s grid will motivate you in no time to unroll the mat, zen out and limber up. She is a Mumbai-based Yoga expert with a huge Insta fam of 151k followers. Her mantra for Yoga practitioners is to get on the mat EVERYDAY even if it’s for 10 minutes. She considers herself lucky to have found inspiration everywhere, from yoga practitioners to dancers or artists to her followers. She says, “I love what i do! I want to inspire! And I want to make a change not in any small way BUT have a huge bloody impact on people to give them the BELIEF that NO MATTER WHAT, the world has a limit but the galaxy’s limitless. So believe and work your butt off, because if you put your heart and head to it anything is possible!”

Starting her journey with Acupressure Yoga and Pregnancy Yoga, Suvi has been inspiring so many with her determination and continuous hard work. A mom and entrepreneur who has mastered various forms of Yoga, she is one of the highly rated Ashtanga Yoga trainers in India now. Suvi ushers you into her Instagram grid with photos of asanas that leave you wanting to join her. She also runs a startup which provide quality training teachers, a guide to healthy daily life and meditation classes.
Founder of ‘The Yoga House’, yoga instructor Sunaina Rekhi has rounded up 23.1k followers on Instagram. She captivates her followers with total immersion in her inspiring world which is all about a positive message on the discipline of Yoga. She holds a double major in Economics & Econometrics and a degree in Child Development. Sunaina Rekhi is one of the most sought after yoga therapists for many Bollywood celebrities and corporate tycoons. Whilst living in the UK, she first found herself drawn to yoga and Pilates classes. Sunaina trains at reputed yoga centers across Mumbai where she channels her creative energies into this timeless spiritual discipline.
