Cry No More!

“Cry for a better world to live, cry for a space for every child to live, with dignity, honour, smile on the face”

I heard a cry,
Deep there in my heart,
That longed to say something.
Hiding my face in false
smiles.

I have walked along,
Never knowing how to tell the truth.
Somewhere I hear a deep cry.

Hoping to see someone to stand by me
Console me,
Pat me,
Enthuse me,
Hug me,
And say,
Stand up dear-
For you are not alone,
Raise your voice today,
To see your sisters
Live a better tomorrow!

Your cries and sorrow
shouldn’t go in vain,
For you carried so long the pain.

Let it die today,
no longer shall you cry
and shed tears.
In the years
to come.
After all its not the way you want to live.

Cry for a better world to live,
Cry for a space for every child to live
with dignity, honour,
smile on the face.
Neither denied of her rights,
Nor succumbed to situations
Or being harassed for
Being a girl!
Let all of us raise our
Hands to say
#No means No!
