Women’s Web is hiring for a Paid Digital Marketing Intern to work with the social team for 3 months.

Role objective: Full-time internship with the Women’s Web digital marketing team. This is a 3-month internship post which the candidate could be considered for a relevant full-time role at Women’s Web, depending on the suitability and interest of both parties. 

Description:

As part of this internship, you would take ownership for some key Women’s Web digital media platforms, and create different forms of engaging content for the audience (e.g. posts, stories, videos, etc) as well as for various projects & events that Women’s Web is involved in.

This role would involve:

• Ownership of specific social channels of Women’s Web, including data monitoring and audience engagement
• Preparing social media collaterals & copy in engaging formats
• Understand the audience & post timings and optimize content sharing of the same
• Provide creative assistance and execution for digital events.
• To come up with creative ideas, analyse trends and support strategic planning of social media calendar

Candidate Profile:

The candidate should identify as a feminist and have a strong interest in women’s rights, and women’s lives, in the Indian context. You should have an interest in digital marketing and some level of exposure to it, as part of a course, personal interest or other internships. 

Specific skills/criteria: 

1. Degree in marketing, communication studies, journalism, creative writing, or similar.
2. Working knowledge of Canva or graphic design tools
3. Basic video editing skills in tools like Lumen or Canva
4. Excellent written and oral English communication skills
5. Good time-management & problem-solving skills
6. Strong work ethic – a self-starter who takes accountability for their work 

Location: Any in India, with a preference for Bangalore/Chennai

Stipend: Rs.10-12000 p.m depending on skill levels.
