Women’s Web in association with JustBooks announces Book Talk, a monthly writing theme to get readers to write about the books that inspire them. If you are passionate about books, love talking about your favourite authors and discussing your best reading memories, then our monthly theme is perfect for you!
Each month, we feature a theme centred on books and reading. We ask our readers to take cues from these themes and to write about their adventures in reading. For October, our theme is:
Does Lizzie Bennett’s free spirit inspire you to pull up your petticoat and stomp across puddles? Do you get all riled up when the brilliant Hermione Granger is called bossy? Does Rahel Kochamma, with her explosive imagination, fill you with awe? Do you love complex characters like the eccentric genius computer hacker Lisbeth Salander? We all have our favourite female characters from fiction and for different reasons. Which female character has had the most impact on your life and why?
Send in your entries by the 16th of October. Entries can be anywhere between 250 and 800 words in length. They can be emailed to [email protected]. The 3 winning posts will be published on our web site on the 20th, 22nd and 24th of October and each winner will receive a Rs.500 gift voucher from JustBooks.
