Women’s Web is saying Goodbye! Please make sure you read this important notification.
The Women’s Web Network (WWN) is meant for women at work to network, learn and grow together.
As part of this network, WWN chapters are a community-led initiative – by and for our community to benefit from each other’s experience. The Women’s Web team helps by providing a common agenda and organizational support, while each city is led by volunteer coordinators who help take the meet forward in a fun yet organised manner.
Chapters aim to meet monthly, over a short session of 2 hours, with each meet focusing on a particular topic. You may be a a salaried employee, a freelancer, an entrepreneur or looking to rejoin work after short or long breaks. To enable the group to derive real benefit from the meet and act as peer mentors to each other, each meet will include 8-12 women.
Chapter meets are a community-led activity, with a nominal fee per meet only to cover expenses such as venue costs, light refreshments and any resources shared at the meets.
Or start one in your city.
Joining a chapter meet lets you meet, network and learn from other enterprising women in your city and form a supportive network for yourself.
Each chapter plans to meet monthly, and every month, a topic relevant to women at work is discussed. This will be a great place to discuss diverse issues such as growing in your career, taking up more challenging opportunities, gaining recognition at work, meeting new business challenges, handling difficult clients or finding a job after a break.
If your city doesn’t have a chapter yet, you could volunteer to start one! To be a city coordinator, all you need is an interest in supporting other women at work, and a few hours volunteering every month to coordinate the meet. Being a coordinator raises your profile in your city and gives you a chance to give back to the community as well.
