Lataji and I stopped working together a long time back but her words remained with me. She was the closest I had to a mentor.

I realized the value of a mentor, that wonderful senior lady who had understood my fears and made me face up to them. She had brought me out of my shell!

Most of my women clients are caregivers—as mothers, wives and daughters. And so, they tend to feel guilty about their ambitions. Belief in themselves is hard to come by.

What I also love about our mentor mentee interactions is the sharing of stories in our lives and sharing life's ups and downs and how we have navigated them.
