The internet poses a serious threat to the established social order. This, by itself, makes it clear that the internet empowers women, whom patriarchy wants to control.

Women’s Day should be a day when I dress, party, and have a blast, not because it's just one day out of 365 when I get noticed.

When someone says they do not want a child, it means they do not want to be the nanny, teacher, parent, cook, doctor, driver, therapist, friend, confidante, and the hundred other roles a parent is expected to play within one day.

Not once was I asked how I was feeling, I wasn’t seen as a human being. As a pregnant woman, I was merely an object that was carrying something so precious to the world.

The lockdown may be over but it continues for many women across Indian homes; one wonders what impact it has on the lives of these homemakers doing invisible labour.
